Nomad Pioneers is a travel club for independent people who enjoy spending longer in a place and getting to know others along the way — "spend three months in Cuenca with people you'll look forward to seeing tomorrow" is the promise of its 2026–27 season, running December 15 – March 15 in Cuenca, Ecuador. Unlike organized retreats, the club model keeps members independent: membership ($599 early bird, ~€549) provides access to the member community, the Nomad Pioneers app and community-organized events — dinners, coworking meetups, walks and shared discoveries. Members choose their own accommodation and which activities to join; tours, guides and paid local experiences are provided by local businesses and paid directly. The season is led by Matthias Zeitler (of Castle meetings and nomad-community fame) under Habytor LLC, with a WhatsApp line straight to the organizer for questions. Accommodation and living expenses are separate, keeping the barrier low for long stays. Nomad Pioneers suits experienced nomads and slow travelers who want a ready-made community in one place for a season — without the structure, schedule and price tag of a full-blown retreat.
