The Hybrid Tours is a sustainable and ethical travel company founded by two women from the Global Majority who believe travel should do more than tick boxes. Four years in, it has run tours across eight destinations for guests from four continents, building a community of like-minded travelers who see the world differently. What makes the company "hybrid" is its refusal to choose between the headline sights and the people, stories and histories most travelers never encounter: every itinerary includes both. Tours are built on cultural immersion, amplifying local and displaced voices, decolonising travel narratives, and connecting travelers with the communities that host them. Groups are deliberately small to keep experiences immersive, and the company works only with local enterprises — from hospitality and tour agencies to nonprofits and artisans — so that local populations benefit from tourism rather than being priced out by international corporations. Programs range from Kosovo through the eyes of women to off-the-beaten-path group journeys, appealing to socially conscious travelers who want their trips to build bridges, not just photo albums.
