Tursi Digital Nomads is a community-driven coliving initiative revitalizing rural towns in southern Italy and Greece by hosting immersive coliving experiences for remote professionals. Founded in 2021, the project transforms historic villages like Tursi, Matera, Rotondella, and Patù into vibrant hubs for digital nomads seeking connection, culture, and focused work time. Each popup coliving typically spans 3 to 6 weeks and includes private or shared accommodations, high-speed internet, and access to coworking spaces—often set in restored heritage buildings. Participants engage in optional activities such as weekend excursions, cooking workshops, and wellness sessions, fostering a sense of community and cultural exchange. Tursi Digital Nomads offers an alternative to typical nomad hotspots, providing an opportunity to live and work in authentic, off-the-beaten-path locations while contributing to the revitalization of these communities.
